What Do You Need?

The practice of acupuncture in North America became more common in the 1970’s and has been growing in popularity ever since, however, it has been used in Eastern medicine for around 2500 years.

Physiotherapists at RPS have post-graduate training from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and/or the Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture.  Click on the links below to find out more about these associations.

How is Acupuncture Used at Ross Physiotherapy?

Pain and inflammation are very common aspects of the conditions that we treat.

Studies have shown that the body’s chemistry both near the needle and in the brain and spinal cord is changed by acupuncture stimulation.

For many clients, acupuncture is a great complement to other treatment methods that we use.  Acupuncture has been shown to be very safe when applied by a well trained practitioner* and is effective in treating tendonitis and spinal pain**.

Can Ross Physio Bill my Insurance Directly for Acupuncture?

Everyone's plan is different, so call your insurance company to see if your insurance plan covers acupuncture as a stand alone treatment by our certified acupuncture practitioner link to insurance numbers.  Be assured that if we can bill directly we will do this for you.
